The tournament is set to kick off this Friday, 30th August, with an exciting opener between D.S. Senanayake College and Wesley College at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo. As the defending champions, St. Peter’s College, who recently secured their second consecutive title in the Dialog Schools Rugby League Tournament 2024, have earned a bye and will advance directly to the semi-finals. The tournament promises to showcase the finest school rugby talent in the country, culminating in a grand finale in September. Rugby enthusiasts nationwide are eagerly anticipating the thrilling matches that lie ahead in this prestigious competition.

As the principal sponsor, Dialog has arranged for the live broadcast of the tournament on Dialog Television through ThePapare TV (Channel 63) and ThePapare TV HD (Channel 126). Additionally, the tournament will be available on Dialog ViU and ThePapare.com, ensuring that current and former students, parents, supporters, well-wishers, and the wider rugby-loving community in Sri Lanka can enjoy comprehensive coverage of the event.

This year’s tournament features participation from top-tier schools, each bringing their rich rugby heritage and competitive spirit to the field. As the defending champions, St. Peter’s College enters the tournament with high expectations, aiming to retain the President’s Trophy and solidify their legacy in Sri Lankan school rugby.
