Sri Lanka will open its campaign against Kazakhstan on 22 July in Islamabad, Pakistan, marking the start of a five-match preliminary round against some of the region's strongest volleyball nations
The eight-day championship, organised by the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA), will be held from 22 to 29 July and features six competing nations: Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Afghanistan. Sri Lanka team is sponsored by Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading telecommunication provider and sports promoter.
Sri Lanka will be led by captain Deepti Romesh, while Ayesha Dilhan has been named vice-captain for the tournament.
Following the opening match against Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka will face host nation Pakistan on 23 July, Nepal on 24 July, Afghanistan on 26 July, and Bangladesh on 27 July. The preliminary round will determine the semifinalists, with the knockout stage scheduled for 28 July, followed by the third-place playoff and the final on 29 July.
