DeafTawk
DeafTawk sparks an opportunity to bridge the communication gap between the deaf community and the rest of society. Deaf users can sign up, connect with qualified local interpreters, and use the service to communicate with anyone, including doctors, teachers, cab drivers, and relatives. The barrier breaks down when communication starts, and it is only one click away with the DeafTawk mobile app which is available on both Android and iOS.
Dialog and other operator subscribers can register to this service via the mobile application by simply registering their phone number and purchasing talk time within the application interface. There will be no data charges for Dialog mobile customers for using DeafTawk’s sign language interpreter services via the mobile application.
By introducing and localising DeafTawk in Sri Lanka, Dialog has not only increased its brand value but also reinforces its commitment towards Sustainable Development Goal No. 10. Setup DeafTawk Application
By downloading the DeafTawk application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, the user can simply sign-up or login by providing their phone number and verifying the OTP
How to purchase talk time
To activate the package of their choice, users can purchase talk time by paying via any credit/debit card or using the Dialog Add to Bill Service (only for Dialog customers)
How to schedule a call
To schedule a call, users can follow the steps below or click the ‘Let’s Tawk’ button to make a call with any of the available sign language interpreters through the application (Sinhala and Tamil language is also presented)
