Sri Lanka’s Dialog Axiata Partners with Cable and Wireless Worldwide to Provide Managed Services to Customers

Cable and Wireless Worldwide strengthens existing partnership with the Axiata group with this new arrangement

Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s largest mobile service provider, has extended its strategic partnership with Cable&Wireless Worldwide (CWW) to meet the growing customer demands for managed services. According to the arrangement, Dialog Axiata will leverage C&W Worldwide’s extensive International MPLS network, mainly into the European region and with it, be able to offer its enterprise customers various managed services on video, voice and data platforms.

The partnership will enable Dialog to expand its network coverage beyond its own points of presence (PoPs) in the UK and establish itself as the leading International MPLS provider in the Sri Lankan market.

We’ve been working with CWW for a long time has helped us to reach out and best serve our local customers looking for International MPLS solutions” said Mr. Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Operating Officer, Dialog Axiata PLC.

Cable&Wireless Worldwide has been partnering with the Axiata Group Berhad to support its growing IP capacity needs in Asia Pacific since 2010. Axiata is one of the largest Asian telecommunication companies which focuses on high growth, low penetration emerging markets.
