Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s #1 connectivity provider, was ranked number one in the Transparency in Corporate Reporting (TRAC) assessment of 2023 conducted by Transparency International Sri Lanka, underscoring its commitment to the core values of Uncompromising Integrity and Exceptional Performance.
This independent evaluation, utilizing Transparency International's standard TRAC methodology, reviewed disclosure practices among the top 125 public limited companies in Sri Lanka. The company's emphasis on ethical conduct, transparency, and anti-corruption efforts played a pivotal role in securing the top spot.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Dialog prioritizes corporate governance and ethics through its Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) policy enforcing a strict no-gift policy and Governance, Disclosure, and Transparency Committee (GDSC). ABAC ensures compliance with anti-corruption laws and GDSC promotes financial transparency. Further, the Risk & Compliance Management Committee (RCMC) and Board Risk and Compliance Committee (BRCC) collaborate for effective risk management and compliance. Comprehensive records management and a whistleblower mechanism enhance transparency under Dialog's 'TRUST' framework - ‘Tone from the Top’, ‘Risk Assessment’, ‘Undertaking Control Measures’, ‘Systematic Monitoring’, ‘Training and Communication’. Adherence to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's Act 17A and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion framework further promote transparency. These endeavours, along with periodic independent assessments, underscore Dialog's dedication to ethical conduct, transparency, and risk management, reflecting its mature and proactive approach towards upholding the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance.
Commenting, Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC said, “Achieving the esteemed top ranking in Transparency International Sri Lanka's Transparency in Corporate Reporting assessment is reflective of Dialog’s commitment to Uncompromising Integrity. Our ethical conduct, transparency, and anti-corruption endeavours are a testament to our steadfast dedication to the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance.
