The System Upgrade Process for Dialog Television ViU Mini / ViU Hub
Frequently asked questions
This update is only for Dialog Television ViU Mini and ViU Hub users.
The upgrade will take place on 16th and 20th of May. You may receive the new update anytime during the mentioned day.
You will need to ensure that your ViU Hub/ViU Mini device is switched on and connected to a stable Wi-Fi/Ethernet internet connection.
There will be a quick restart after the installation, which will take a maximum of 10 minutes.
Even if you don't keep your ViU Mini/ViU Hub on during the mentioned period, the software will still automatically install onto your device when you switch it on later (before 30th June 2024). However, to avoid any potential issues, we recommend keeping it on during the mentioned time period
Make sure that your ViU Mini/ViU Hub device’s power and internet remain uninterrupted while the system restarts.
You will get access to the full bouquet of channels and the Video-on-demand library until 30th June 2024 to experience the new version.
Standard monthly/daily package charges are applicable.
Yes, your favorite list will be erased after the new update installation, but you can set-up favorites again.
No, your package/sachet prices will remain unchanged since this will only be a software update
