What is the eligibility criteria for customers to avail the Dialog Smartphone Plan?

Customers should visit a Dialog Experience Centre and present their original NIC for validation.
Customers must have an active mobile postpaid connection.
There should be no previous connection's Permanent Disconnected outstanding under the NIC.
There should be no other/same type of Pending/Open device contract under the NIC.
Existing or new postpaid customers need to subscribe to the Power Plan with a rental of 1300 + Tax or higher. More info

What are the documents required to purchase a smartphone with Power Plan?

Customers must provide one of the following documents issued within the past 6 months.
Valid billing proof with the customer's name (e.g., utility bills, account statements, or credit card statements).
OR
A salary slip indicating the customer's name

How is the offer segmented based on the customer’s Active Network Stay?

Postpaid customers active for over 12 months qualify for a device value of LKR 100,000 or above.
Postpaid customers active for less than 12 months (including new users) qualify for a device value below LKR 100,000.

Can customers change their mobile plan to a non-Power Plan with pending device contract?

No, plan changes to other plans are not allowed & plan changes to lower power plans (1200 below) are not allowed for customers with pending smartphone plan commitments.

What is the credit control process applicable during the Smartphone Plan’s commitment period?

The credit limit will be automatically increased based on the range of smartphones, with adjustments made according to the instalment component.
Smartphone plan policies will be managed via integrated device security solutions. Relevant controls will be applied from the point of enrollment throughout the credit journey until the contract is completed, based on credit behavior.

Action	Description
Enrollment notifications	A message states that the smartphone is purchased under an instalment scheme with the "Device Blocking Feature" enabled. Ownership remains with Dialog until the end of the instalment plan.
Blink Reminders	Users receive reminder notifications on their smartphones every 10 minutes. The message notifies users about unsettled bill invoices, and it continues until the due amount is fully settled.
SIM Lock Control	SIM cards can be configured to restrict some functionality and/or lock the smartphone if required. (An 'Active Dialog SIM' is required to be in either SIM tray 1 or SIM tray 2 for phones purchased under this contract scheme.)
Locked Smartphone	The smartphone will be blocked and rendered unusable with a lock screen message after falling into temporary disconnection. Users must settle the outstanding amount for smartphone unlocking.

What happens to the customer’s final bill once the customer falls into the Permanent Disconnection status during the contract period?

If the connection falls into Permanent Disconnection during the contract period, the remaining smartphone instalment value will be added to the final bill upfront. The smartphone will be unusable until the overall outstanding values are settled.

What happens once the contract of the Smartphone Plan is completed?

After completing the contract period, the additional credit limit (instalment component) will be removed, and the standard mobile postpaid connection will continue.

Can customers obtain a Dialog Smartphone Plan for a prepaid mobile connection?

Customers can convert existing PrePaid numbers to a Postpaid PowerPlan and purchase a Smartphone under this scheme. Alternatively, customers can check the eligibility for the Lesi Pay scheme and purchase their smartphone through the Lesi Pay Device Loan.

What will be the Smartphone warranty period?

1-year device warranty

What happens after the Temporary Disconnection?

The device will be blocked and rendered unusable with a lock screen message. Users must settle the outstanding amount and contact the hotline 777575727 for device unlocking.

Can users regain access to a blocked device after settling outstanding dues?

Yes, users can unlock a blocked device by settling the due amount and contacting the hotline for assistance through the Dialog Recovery process.

Can a customer early settle the remaining instalment & close the commitment plan?

Yes, customers can request early settlements by visiting an outlet.

Can a customer obtain a New Dialog Smartphone Plan while closing the existing Dialog Smartphone Plan?

Yes, customers can proceed with a new Dialog Smartphone Plan if they don’t have any pending commitment plans.

Can customers redeem Loyalty Discounts with this Dialog Smartphone Plan?

No, Loyalty discounts will not be able to be redeemed with Dialog Smartphone Plans.
