Ericsson to roll out Cat-M1 and NB-IoT Network with Dialog Axiata in Sri Lanka

Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider and Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) have joined hands to roll out the first commercially available Cat-M1 and NB-IOT cellular network in South Asia in Sri Lanka. This advanced mobile network technology will help accelerate the proliferation of IoT devices by offering the best coverage, power efficient and cost-effective solutions to enterprises.

Ericsson delivers Cat-M1/NB-IoT support as a software upgrade to Dialog Axiata’s existing LTE Radio Access Network. Ericsson's solutions for Cat-M1 and NB-IoT devices have advantages including low cost, low power consumption, deep coverage, massive connections and more reliable transmission.
