Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s #1 connectivity provider, together with leading apparel manufacturer, MAS Holdings, announced the successful conclusion of the fourth Dialog MAS Enabler Programme, continuing a joint effort to strengthen workplace inclusion by providing persons with disabilities (PWDs) with structured exposure to corporate, manufacturing, and customer service environments.
The programme brought together 10 undergraduates and young professionals from leading public and private higher education institutions across Sri Lanka. Participants engaged across Dialog and MAS workplaces, including corporate offices, customer service centres, and manufacturing facilities, gaining first-hand insight into organisational functions, workplace expectations, and day-to-day operations.
The programme featured structured sessions on workplace etiquette, recruitment processes, interview preparation, and career pathways, complemented by department-level interactions with industry practitioners. At the same time, Dialog and MAS worked closely with participants to better understand lived experiences, identify opportunities to improve accessibility across workplaces and processes, and strengthen inclusive practices through organisational learning. Internal engagement initiatives also continued throughout the programme to reinforce inclusive behaviours across teams.
Rajitha Jayasuriya, Director, Corporate Affairs, Group Legal of MAS Capital (Private) Limited said, “The Dialog MAS Enabler Programme continues to show us that meaningful inclusion requires workplaces to evolve alongside the people that they hope to empower. Each year, we learn directly from the experiences of our participants, helping us build environments where people of all abilities can contribute, grow and build meaningful careers. Through our Plan for Change 2030 commitments, MAS is working towards making all our locations fully accessible for employees with disabilities by 2030. Programmes like this help us learn, improve and turn that ambition into meaningful action.”
Asanga Priyadharshana, Group Chief Corporate Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC said, "Building an inclusive workforce requires organisations to embed accessibility and equitable participation into the way they operate. Through our partnership with MAS Holdings, the Dialog MAS Enabler Programme helps create sustainable pathways to employment while strengthening inclusive practices across our organisation. This reflects our long-term commitment to building a more resilient workforce and advancing sustainable, inclusive growth."
Dialog and MAS Holdings continue to collaborate on initiatives that expand access to employment opportunities for persons with disabilities while embedding accessibility and inclusive practices across their organisations. Through sustained collaboration and continuous workplace improvements, both organisations are contributing to the development of a more diverse, resilient, and sustainable workforce that supports long-term social and economic progress in Sri Lanka.
