Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka's #1 connectivity provider, has been recognised at the ACCA Sustainability Reporting Awards 2024, winning the 'Non-Financial Services Category' for its exemplary commitment to sustainability and transparency. This achievement reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into its business strategy and operations.

In a highly competitive field, Dialog was recognised for its comprehensive and well-structured sustainability report, earning praise from the judging panel. The company's transparent and informative disclosures were acknowledged for demonstrating its commitment to continuous improvement and accountability. Established in 2004, the ACCA Sustainability Reporting Awards annually honour organisations that excel in sustainability reporting, highlighting the link between business strategy, corporate governance, and sustainability. These awards celebrate organisations that prioritise sustainability and contribute to a more sustainable future.

“Our commitment to sustainability is rooted in the belief that responsible corporate practices are essential for long-term success,” commented Supun Weerasinghe, Director / Group Chief Executive at Dialog Axiata PLC. “This award reaffirms our dedication to environmental stewardship and transparent reporting while underscoring the importance of integrating sustainability into business strategies and operations.”

Dialog’s recognition at the ACCA Sustainability Reporting Awards reflects its commitment to fostering sustainable business practices and contributing to a more sustainable future. As a responsible corporate entity, Dialog continues to set benchmarks within Sri Lanka’s corporate sector, inspiring others to prioritise sustainability in both operations and reporting. This is exemplified by Dialog being the first in South Asia, and one of the few globally, to produce an externally assured report compliant with IFRS S1 and S2 standards (SLFRS). Furthermore, the company’s top ranking in Transparency International Sri Lanka’s 2023 Transparency in Corporate Reporting (TRAC) assessment reinforces its unwavering dedication to the core values of uncompromising integrity and exceptional performance.
