Karuna.lk Supports Restoration of Historic Dimbulagala Forest Monastery
Invites Public Contributions via Karuna.lk
26th June 2025 Colombo

Sri Lankans are invited to support the restoration of the historic Dimbulagala Forest Monastery—a site of deep national and religious significance—through Karuna.lk, the country’s first crowdfunding platform featuring verified and trusted non-profits, organisations, and causes. Karuna.lk is an initiative by the Dialog Foundation, offering a safe and reliable way for the public to contribute towards meaningful community efforts.
This campaign aims to fund critical renovations at the monastery, including the restoration of its ancient stupa—ensuring that this sacred heritage site is preserved for future generations. The initiative provides a meaningful opportunity for communities across the island to participate in safeguarding a key piece of Sri Lanka’s religious and cultural legacy.
Over the years, Dialog has contributed to numerous heritage preservation efforts. Notably, in 2018, the company funded the construction of the 50-foot-high vestibule and the adjoining wall at the Dimbulagala Forest Monastery. Continuing this commitment, Dialog now supports the facilitation of public donations through the Karuna.lk platform.
All Sri Lankans are warmly encouraged to take part in this worthy cause by visiting karuna.lk to make a donation. QR codes are also available at the temple premises for ease of access. Dialog mobile users may contribute via SMS by typing DFM
