By installing the VIU app, you confirm that you understand, agree to and will be bound to be bound by these terms of use. Please review them carefully before installation and/acceptance.
Dialog reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Such modified Terms and Conditions will be periodically updated herein, and you should check the Sites and the Services regularly to ensure that you have the latest terms and conditions at your disposal. Your continued use of the VIU app, constitutes your acceptance of such modified Terms.
All Intellectual Property Rights in or relating to VIU (including but not limited to information, communications, designs, logos, pictures, layouts, software, texts, graphics, links, sounds and any other form of copyrightable content), are owned by Dialog or by Dialog licensor’s.
You hereby grant to Dialog a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, world-wide license to reproduce, transfer, modify, adapt and/or publish any Content provided by you to Dialog by email, post or otherwise on the Sites and/or the Services as Dialog sees fit and without notice to you, to the extent necessary to provide VIU to you and others, and from time to time to improve Dialog’s products and services.
Dialog hereby grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to install and use the VIU application on any compatible mobile device that you own or control and/ or in connection with your Dialog Television.
Dialog shall have the authority at its sole discretion to decide on an applicable fee for the OTT Services provided to you via the ViU App.
Any personal information you supply to Dialog when using this application will be used by Dialog in accordance with its Privacy Notice, which is available at https://www.dialog.lk/privacy-notice
The ViU app is to be used by a single user only and you are liable for any authorized or unauthorized use of this application. You acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring that no unauthorised access to the Sites and the Services is obtained using your Access Information and that you are liable for all such activities conducted through your account whether authorised or not. When choosing Access Information, you must not use words that are obscene, abusive or likely to cause offence.
The VIU mobile application requires internet data connection for initial installation and for use.
Charges for data usage will not be charged if you are using the ViU app through Dialog Axiata PLC’s mobile data services (locally)
Charges for data usage will not be charged if you are using the ViU app through Dialog Broadband Networks (Private) Limited’s 4G wi-fi network.
Charges for data usage will be charged depending on your individual tariff, if you are using the ViU app through any other network.
Dialog reserves the right to collect information relating login details related issues with the intent of providing you with an uninterrupted service and an improved customer experience.
Dialog wishes to serve you more effectively by enhancing real time communication and thereby updating you of its special campaigns and offers through notifications. If you do not wish to receive such notifications, you may opt out of being so notified by selecting the opt-out from the SMS services.
If you are a customer with a Dialog TV connection, upon registering your Dialog TV account on the ViU app, you agree to be bound by the Dialog Television On the Go Terms and Conditions in addition to these VIU Terms and conditions.
Terms and Conditions on Liability, Termination, Exclusion of Liability and/ or any other terms and conditions not expressly set out herein shall be governed by the General Terms and conditions, available at https://dlg.dialog.lk/dialog-terms-and-conditions.
Please note:
Wherever, the term “ OTT Services” has been used in these Terms and Conditions, such term shall mean and include Over the Top services including the delivery of the Services to a closed user group of Subscribers through public Internet in the Territory for reception, viewing and streaming purposes (only) on the Media Devices;
Wherever, the term “ Dialog” has been used in these Terms and Conditions, such term shall shall mean and include Dialog Axiata PLC and its subsidiaries Dialog Broadband Networks (Private) Limited and Dialog Television (Private) Limited as applicable.
