British Council English
You can now receive the British Council English (British Council English SMS) service via SMS or listen to the British Council English (British Council English IVR) lessons via an IVR (Interactive Voice Response).
You can simply register and use the British Council English (British Council English SMS) service via SMS commands. Through this method you will receive questions which need to be replied to correctly via SMS. Depending on the current level and the amount of correct answers you send, you will be automatically upgraded to a higher level to further your academic development.
Register for the service under 3 levels: Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced.

How do I use the British Council English SMS Service?
Register to the service by choosing one of the below mentioned levels
- Elementary.
- Intermediate.
- Advanced.
This is further facilitated with three types of services;
- Push SMS: General English messages such as learning tips, interesting facts, collocations, idioms, expressions and vocabulary.
- Pull SMS: Multiple choice questions including odd one out and gap filling. Subscribers can reply back with their preferred question.
- Conversational English: Sending five messages based on the subscriber’s language followed with a linked question. This category is only applicable for Elementary Level.
