Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka's #1 connectivity provider, won the Gold Award for Best Digital Payments Innovation at the Sri Lanka FinTech Awards 2026, recognising Dialog Pay's contribution to strengthening Sri Lanka's national digital payments ecosystem by making secure, convenient and accessible digital transactions available to consumers and businesses across the country.
Launched earlier this year, Dialog Pay brings together a comprehensive range of everyday financial transactions through the MyDialog platform and the dedicated Dialog Pay App. Customers can make QR payments, pay bills, transfer money, link bank accounts, access GovPay services and selected financial services through a single digital platform. In a short span of time, Dialog Pay has expanded its QR payment acceptance footprint to more than 100,000 outlets across Sri Lanka, enabling seamless digital transactions for customers while helping merchants participate more actively in the country's growing digital payments landscape.
Commenting on the recognition, Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC, said, "As Sri Lanka's digital economy continues to evolve, trusted and accessible digital payment solutions will play an increasingly important role in connecting people, businesses and services. This recognition reflects Dialog's commitment to building digital platforms that simplify everyday life while supporting broader economic participation and growth."
The award reinforces Dialog's continued commitment to advancing digital innovation through solutions that make everyday transactions simpler and more convenient for Sri Lankan consumers and businesses. Users can explore Dialog Pay and its features through the MyDialog platform, the Dialog Pay App and dialog.lk/dialog-pay.
